I did initial my degree in Chiropody & Podiatric Medicine in 1997 before travelling extensively overseas as an expat in the oil and gas industry. I bought Scamps in 2012 when the previous owner retired and over the last 10 years have transformed the club by adding a Before School Club and Holiday provision and working closely with the families to provide a home-from-home environment for the children where they can feel relaxed and comfortable in their surroundings. I have worked hard to establish the most amazing team with highly trained and skilled individuals who bring with them a wealth of knowledge, experience and loads of fun.

I have a noisy Siamese cat called Beau, I like cycling, paddle boarding and I am currently doing my PDA Plus Level 9 in Childhood Practice, Leadership & Management.

Hello, my name is Kitti, and I’m from Budapest, Hungary. I graduated in Tourism and Management, and after working in Greece as a kids’ entertainer, I discovered how much I truly enjoy working with children. Since then, I have completed SVQ Level 3 and Level 4 in Social Services (Children and Young People) and I am currently working toward PDA Level 9 in Childhood Practice. I have gained valuable experience in both nursery and primary aged childcare settings, supporting children’s development across different age groups. I am also a proud mum to my little boy. In my free time, I enjoy travelling and reading.!

Support Worker - Part Time

Hi, my name is Esme. I am currently studying an MSci in Counselling, Psychology and Education at Aberdeen University. I recently joined the SCAMPS team and have really enjoyed getting to know the children and being part of such a welcoming environment. I am also a volunteer counsellor at Childline, which has been a very rewarding experience. My hobbies are mainly musical, I’ve played guitar from a young age and also play bass and a bit of drums, but my main focus is on music production. Although I don’t always have as much time as I’d like with Uni, I still love playing and listening to music whenever I can.

Hi, I’m Maia and I’m 19 years old. I currently study Social Sciences at Robert Gordon’s, and I aspire to be a history teacher. I did a foundation apprenticeship while I was at school and gained a level 6. I have always wanted to work with children since I was very young. Growing up with amazing role models really inspired me to be a role model for children. Next summer I will be taking part in camp America to gain more experience and continuing to do something that I love and find extremely rewarding. I love being with my friends and family and travelling to different countries!

I’m originally from Galloway and moved up to Aberdeen to study history. After earning my degree, I decided to change paths and move to childcare. Hi, my name is Alina, I am 18 years old and currently studying Music at Aberdeen University. I've worked in childcare since the start of 2023, where I worked for the council at a breakfast and afterschool club during my final year of academy. I really enjoyed my time working with children which is why after settling into University I joined Scamps.

Most of my hobbies are musical, I've played the piano since I was five and took up guitar two years ago. I have a small collection of guitars, a Stratocaster and a Fender Telecaster and hope to keep learning new instruments in the future. I also like collecting music on vinyl. Outside of music I like painting, drawing, reading and enjoy being part of the badminton society.

Hi, my name is Daria. I moved from Poland to Aberdeen in 2019. After I finished S6 in 2022 my plans were to become a chemistry teacher. Unfortunately, I had to drop out of Uni and work full time. I still hoped to go back to studying in the future, so I could work within a childcare sector.

In February 2024 I became one of the Scamps staff members and immediately loved it. I also recently started SVQ level 3 qualification in Social Services for Children and Young People which is a dream come true. I love being outside surrounded by nature, watching sunsets, taking part in group sports activities, doing yoga and martial arts.

Hi, my name is Adele, I’m the Lead Practitioner of the Daisy room at Scamps Kindergarten Nursery. I’ve been working here since August 2014 and received my SVQ 3 in children’s care learning and development in 2011. I also have 4 years previous experience in other nurseries. I am from Aberdeen and have lived here my whole life. In my spare time I enjoy experimenting with cooking from around the world, spending time with my dog, and renovating my house with my husband.

Hi, my name is Amy. I am a practitioner with Scamps Kindergarten Nursery. I have only been working here since November 2024 but have loved every day I've been here. I moved up to Aberdeen from London back in 2019 and have loved every minute. I have been working in the childcare field since 2016 and I am increasingly passionate about my job. I love music and singing songs with the children.

Hi, I am Dalia. I was born and raised in Iraq and graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After moving to Scotland in 2009 I discovered how much I enjoy caring for children, which led me to gain my first childcare qualification in 2012. I joined Scamps in 2018 where I continued my training and achieved SVQ Level 4 in Social services (Children and Young people). I love cooking, baking and meeting new people.

Hey, my name's Michael and I have a Bachelors with honours in Sports coaching and developing, and a former youth coordinator for Enable working with those with additional support needs. My passion has always been around young people developing life skills and having fun, and I have spent the last several years getting myself involved where possible. I am a huge fan of all things Sports (except Dancing),  board games (except monopoly), and outdoor activities (except Archery).  If you see me around the place, please say hello, I am always down to have a chat!

Hi, my name is Luna and I am currently studying Primary Education at the University of Aberdeen. I have always had a passion for working with children and knew from a young age that this was the career I wanted to pursue. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, going for runs, and taking my five-year-old cousin out at the weekends. In the future, I hope to travel as much as possible and would love the opportunity to teach in another country after I graduate.

Hi, I am Thomas and I chose childcare because my mum, who is a teacher, introduced me to working with kids in an afterschool setting which involved sports activities. I am currently training to be a primary school, and I love every second of it. In my spare time I train in the gym or on the running track. A fun fact about me, Is I have competed twice in an international competition for athletics!

Hi, my name Anna and I have recently joined the Scamps team on a part time basis. I am from Glasgow and moved up to Aberdeen in September 2025 to go to the University of Aberdeen where I study Psychology, Education and Counselling, with the hope to become an educational psychologist in the future. I have worked in childcare for nearly two years now, having previously worked in both an after-school care setting, and a holiday club which were both incredibly rewarding experiences. Working with children is my passion- I love getting to know each child individually and seeing them grow and develop. In my free time I enjoy ice skating, netball and spending time with my friends.

I have always wanted to work in childcare and become a teacher, and after doing work experience in an SEN school I became really interested in that too!
